Pilates is a vigorous full body exercise system that utilizes a variety of specialized equipment such as the Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, and Mat. Pilates is a whole body workout as well as a mental workout.
Prerequisite: Assessment by a Pilates instructor to assess the member's ability to move to the regular classes or begin with the Intro Package.
The Intro Package consists of four 55-minute private sessions and is designed for those new to the Pilates Reformer. You will learn how to personalize reformer settings, focus on breathing, body-awareness and the core principles that constitute the Pilates repertoire. OB
This class is for those new to reformer and concentrates on basic reformer exercises to develop better control and breath through the movement. Emphasis is focused on posture, strength, stability while engaging the core. OB
For those desiring a more challenging workout, at this level you will gain the ability to demonstrate more control and strength by utilizing your powerhouse muscles. You will gain a better understanding of the control that is essential while performing the exercises. OB
After mastering Advanced Reformer 1, you will now be performing your exercise in a continuous flow moving from one exercise to the next with emphasis on smooth transitions. This class will be more demanding with the goal to achieve mastery of control and strength. OB
